Augmented Reality Graphics
Television, film and video games have been using these types of graphics for years now, but what is different about "augmented reality" systems is that the graphics displayed will be for each viewer's perspective. The graphics will change to accommodate the user's head and eye movements so that they will always fit the person's perspective.

This technology originally was planned to be delivered by head mounted dispalys which are bulky, but now researchers believe it can be incorporated into eyeglasses or even contact lenses which are powered wirelessly with radio frequency waves.

The applications of this technology are endless, everyone from tourists to the military will be scrambling to cash-in on the benefits from computer-generated graphics in their field of vision. The medical field could make quantum leaps using this technology. A cellphone microscope could be used to diagnose malaria, surgeons could hone their skills, and iPhone apps could help diabetics track their glucose levels.

If you think computers have already revolutionized the way children learn...think again!
